Meganisi does not have its own airport, but it is easily accessible by car ferry from Nidri (Lefkada) or from other Ionian islands such as Kefalonia, Corfu, Paxoi, and Zakynthos. Alternatively, a water taxi can be arranged from Lefkada (Nidri or Perigiali port) to take you directly to Meganisi.

The nearest airport is Aktion Airport, located in Preveza on mainland Greece. This airport offers charter flights from several major UK and European airports, as well as direct flights from Athens International Airport. From Aktion Airport, it takes about an hour by taxi or rental car to reach Nidri port. A daily bus service is also available, connecting Aktion Airport to Lefkada Town and onward to Nidri.

For travelers coming from Athens or other mainland Greek cities, Lefkada is easily accessible by bus or car via a small bridge connecting it to the mainland.
